Netflix removes another good show
Netflix has become an essential part of our daily lives. From movies to TV shows, Netflix offers a variety of choices to keep us engaged. However, the streaming giant has recently been caught in hot water for taking off shows like New Girl. I believe that Netflix should reconsider removing shows with a loyal fan base.
New Girl, a popular sitcom that aired from 2011 to 2018, was recently removed from Netflix, much to the disappointment of its fans. Fans love New Girl for its witty humor, relatable characters, and heartwarming storyline. However, it is not the only one of the shows that Netflix has removed, and many loyal subscribers are starting to get frustrated with this trend.
One reason why Netflix removes shows is due to licensing agreements. Netflix has to renew its license agreements with studios and networks to continue streaming its content. While this may serve as a reasonable explanation, it still does not justify the frustration of viewers who have invested time and emotions into a show. Additionally, as paying customers, we should be able to access shows we enjoy and not have them suddenly disappear from our screens.
New Girl has been removed from Netflix. Shows like The Office, Friends, and Parks and Recreation have been taken off the streaming platform. These shows have loyal fans who have repeatedly rewatched them. This trend of removing fan-favorite shows could lead subscribers to cancel their subscriptions and move to other streaming platforms.
As one can tell, Netflix needs to reconsider its strategy of removing shows with a loyal fan base. It’s about more than losing a show, but also losing subscribers who are attached to those shows. As if one invests in a show, that show should be able to access without worrying about its removal.
