Girls Basketball Team Off to Solid Start
So far this season, the Hills West Colts Varsity Girls Basketball team has been successful, starting strong with a 7-5 record as they aim to bounce back from a rough season last year. The team is determined to continue their success throughout the rest of the season and into the playoffs.
Recently, the Hills West Girls Varsity Basketball team won three games in a row! They have been able to win consistently throughout the season by maintaining a strong mentality and supporting each other. Zoe Franks, a starter for the team, mentioned that a key reason for their success is “not beating each other up about mistakes and just correcting them.” The team has also maintained a strong bond, which has been essential for their success.
The games have been thrilling and exciting to watch.
The leading scorer for the Hills West Colts Varsity Basketball team is Laila Mustafic, who is averaging 9.3 points per game while also being a great leader off the court, contributing to the team’s success so far. The Colts are currently 4-4 in league play. This strong start has put the Hills West Varsity Girls Basketball team back on other teams’ radar as a threat around the league.
