High School West Art Day 2025

Art day recently occurred at Half Hollow Hills High School West. Art day is a day where students are able to display their artistic abilities in creative ways for others to view. For students in art classes, this day is important to show how much they have learned from that particular class. Art day helps to inspire students to be themselves in artistic and creative ways.
Furthermore, art day is important as it helps build confidence in students that want to display their art, but may not have the confidence in themselves to do so. Art day offers a safe zone where students can show their work to others and receive praise for their work. This feeling helps to increase the confidence of students at Half Hollow High School West. According to Anjli Patel, a student that is currently enrolled in architecture 2 and participant in art day, “This day is important to art students here in west because we get to share our work with our peers, teachers, and fellow artists”. The ability to express themselves through art work is extremely beneficial to students participating in art day. Additionally, working on projects helps students develop their teamwork skills. Patel declares, “I would say it’s a collaboration between myself and my teacher”. Students learn to work with others to display their best work.
In conclusion, students at High School West benefit immensely from art day. The ability to express themselves through art is of the utmost importance to many students that are enrolled in art classes. The collaboration skills that students develop can stick with them for their future careers, whether it is in art or not. Art day was a huge success and significant for students who presented their masterpieces.
