“The Batman” Review
Starring Robert Pattinson, The Batman is a movie about the vigilante, Batman, investigating a series of murders around the city of Gotham, following a trail of clues and riddles left by the culprit. This version of Batman gives more insight into the more vengeful side of him which comes from trauma from witnessing the murder of his parents. At first, when Batman becomes a vigilante, it was to seek revenge for the death of his parents and he doesn’t have hope that the city can change from the crime-ridden pit it is. Batman slowly starts to find the hope not only the city needs but that he needs.
High School West student Samantha Appel gave her opinion on the movie, saying, “I honestly thought it was a great movie. I don’t think it tops Dark Knight, but it gives you a deeper perspective into Batman that the Dark Knight didn’t really accomplish in my opinion. I also thought that the fight scenes were good, but not great. I thought the villain was good and this movie brought out more of the detective side of Batman. I overall thought this Batman movie was an 8/10.”
