“The Bad Guys”

Roughly based on a children’s book series by Aaron Blabey, the comedy/action animated movie “The Bad Guys” was made by Dreamworks and released on April 22, 2022. The main characters Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Shark, Mr. Piranha, and Ms. Tarantula, all of whom are quite literally the animals their names make them out to be, are notorious criminals for all of their successful heists. After they get too arrogant and tried to pull off the most dangerous heist of their career, the five were arrested, but given a second chance by the golden-hearted Professor Marmalade. Now they have to pretend to be model citizens, all while the leader of their group seems to be genuinely drawn to the idea of being a good person.

    Being the scary creatures they were( a wolf, snake, piranha, shark, and tarantula) every member of the group had people avoiding them, being frightened by them, and screaming when they were even seen. People in similar circumstances tend to be drawn together, which applies to this situation. The five’s alienation from the rest of society led to them grouping together and harboring resentment towards the rest of the public for making them feel different and alone. This bitterness most likely brought about their pastime of stealing and pulling off heists.
