A musical comedy, Into the Woods hit theaters Christmas Day. Taken from the Broadway stage and placed onto a Hollywood Screen, the musical has earned a great deal of praise. The film features award winning Meryl Streep, along with popular starlets Emily Blunt and Anna Kendrick, who is recognized for her lead role in the film Pitch Perfect. IMDb granted the film 7.2 stars out of 10. Despite the fact the film was a Disney production, it strays away from the typical fairytale. Featuring the popular stories from their popular book, Children’s and Household Tales. Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Jack and the Bean Stalk and several other tales are portrayed and intertwined within the film. The film introduces viewers to a kingdom in which an elderly, bitter witch, played by Meryl Streep, asks the Baker, portrayed by James Corden and his wife, played by Blunt, to perform a series of tasks in order to fulfill their dreams of having a family of their own. In the woods, the Baker and his wife happen upon Little Red, Jack, Cinderella, Rapunzel and many more. Intertwined, the film consists of a musical blend with just enough comedy to keep the viewers laughing.

The perfect blend of musicality and comedy is exemplified in the link below featuring the charming Chris Pine, who plays Prince Charming.
