Girls Soccer Team Falls To Smithtown West

After two impressive wins, the girls varsity soccer team lost to Smithtown West, 0-2.  For the first 25 minutes of the game neither of the teams scored, but that ended as Smithtown West scored, taking the lead 0-1.  After Smithtown West’s first goal, both teams remained scoreless until the half.  However, before the girls had a chance to catch up, early in the second half Smithtown West scored their second goal of the game.  For the remainder of the game both teams would play strong defense and not allow any more goals to be scored.  The end of the game saw the Colts handed a tough shutout loss, after promising wins last week.  The girls will be training hard to overcome this loss and to earn a win Thursday when North Babylon comes to High School West.
