Girl's soccerThe Girls Varsity Soccer Team has had a surprising and intense season. With a winning record of 7-1-4, the girls won more than half of their games so far. Although the season is not over just yet, the girls can say they have played exceptionally well this entire season. Coach Strack, who is coaching the Girl’s Varsity Soccer Team for the third year running, said, “The girls have a great camaraderie on and off of the field, which leads to their victories on the field. Their intensity is always high, and they are always ready and focused to play for every game.”

It has been an interesting season for the girls due to the team’s unique composition. The team mainly consists of juniors and sophomores, with only one senior and one freshman on the team. The three captains, Megan Iris, Angelique Chaptar, and Jenn Casadonte, are all juniors this year, which is unprecedented for the team. Megan Iris commented, “Even though we are a very young team, we have been able to overcome many obstacles and bring home wins.”

The season has been a tough one so far, and while the girls do n0t always get their desired outcome they always give their best effort. When asked about the collaboration of the team, Angelique Chaptar said, “We always give 150% from start to finish and we always stick together no matter what.”  Jenn Casadonte agreed, stating, “The season has not been perfect, but we still always get along and have great chemistry.” The next step forward for these girls is in the playoffs. Although it will definitely not be easy, they are resolute in their goal to be the League Champions.
