Strong County Performance Sends Three Varsity Wrestlers to Albany

After having the match rescheduled due to Nemo, Varsity Wrestling had a strong showing at last Tuesday-Wednsday’s County Championships, sending three wrestlers up to Albany for the state tournaments. Senior Tyler Grimaldi, who made it all the way to the state finals in his weight class last year, and is one of the three along with Seniors Joe Piccolo and Jagger Rebozo to go to Albany, had this to say about the meet: “I won my second county title, but honestly it didn’t mean that much to me, sure it was exciting and all but I have  my mind set on bigger things. I want to be a state champion and that is the only thing that matters to me.” Grimaldi, Piccolo, and Rebozo won’t stop until they bring home the trophy for West, which will hopefully be this Friday and Saturday in Albany.
