The Music You Might Have Missed!
The past few weeks have been a crazy time for music. With Young Thug’s label YSL being charged for RICO charges, A$AP Rocky proposing to Rihanna, and even Kendrick Lamar dropping for the first time in 5 years, you may have missed some great music. I’m here to tell you what’s worth listening to.
IDK – “Simple.”
Staying consistent with his release dates, IDK releases an EP produced by Kaytranada called “Simple.” – 18 minutes of near-flawless chemistry between the groovy production, IDK’s delivery, and some great features including Mike Dimes and Denzel Curry.
A$AP Rocky – “D.M.B”
Rocky has had an eventful year thus far. He has a child on the way, faced some devious rumors of him cheating on his now-fiancée Rihanna, and was arrested. Nonetheless, he has dropped a pretty solid track reminiscent of his previous singles. He even proposed to Rihanna in the music video in a way only Rocky can, with custom grills. Similar in production to Babushka Boi, if you like A$AP you’ll like this track.
Post Animal – “Love Gibberish”
Prog Psychadelic music doesn’t get much more consistent than Post Animal. Dropping another album getting closer to their roots, Post Animal reaches new cosmic heights. Focusing on the philosophy of nihilism and absurdism, they tell you to really just do what makes you happy.
Horse Jumper of Love – “The Natural Part”
This two-song single release is the first release from the indie cult favorite Horse Jumper of Love since their 2019 album “So Divine”. They continue their imperfect, gloomy, weird lovesong type of music in this release. I would listen to the second song on this release and then listen to their 2017 self-titled release first.
Action Bronson – “Cocodrillo Turbo”
Bronson dropped this after a 2-year hiatus. This is another short album with fantastic production, fantastic features, and bars to boot. He delves deeper and deeper into his artistic and self-improving side. It is easily one of the best things that sort of flew over people’s radars recently.
Don’t miss out on some great new stuff. What would you guys do without me reminding you to listen to good music?
