Everyone here at Hills West can agree that the boys’ basketball team is a great source of pride for our school and its students. Led by head coach, Bill Mitaritonna, the team has surged to a 12-1 record, and everyone is extremely excited about the team’s play, especially senior, and member of the team, Gaetham Fils-Aime. We caught up with Gaetham, and asked him a variety of questions pertaining to the team, and his own performance.

How do you feel about the team’s play so far this season?
We’re really good. A lot of people doubted us this year but we’re having a great season, we have a really good record right now, some great players, and I think we can be great.

What do you think about your play personally?
I think I’ve played really well, especially in my role coming off the bench, and hopefully I can keep it up.

What do you think are some of your strengths and some of your weaknesses as a player?
I think I can rebound a little better, and play a little bit better defense and get the ball moving.

Do you have any pregame rituals or anything that you do?
Not really, I just warm up with the team, and we get ready.

Last question, why do you like this team, why do you think this team can go a long way?
We have really good chemistry, everyone’s always laughing, having fun, going out to eat together. We just enjoy being around each other, and I think that’s really gonna help us in the long run.

Thanks to Gaetham for taking the time to answer our questions, and good luck to the basketball team the rest of the way. Roll West!
