A Strong Start to a New Gymnastics Season

The Half Hollow Hills Girls’ Gymnastics Team is excited to get back to work after placing sixth at counties last year. The girls are ready for another season of hard work and, hopefully, well-earned success. The first meet on Friday the 11th was a win for the team against their non-league opponent William Floyd. Half Hollow Hills team scored a 154, defeating William Floyd who scored a 148.3. The team felt extremely happy to have started off their season with a good team score and hopes that they will continue their victories moving forward.

“This is a better start than last year, and we will only go up from here,” said Coach Teri Kindlemann. After the team left the meet, team captains Allie Schuler and Dani Grimaldi said they were very impressed and proud of the team’s start. The overall optimism of the team this year foreshadows the truly great potential they have at a great run for counties. They will have three more non-league meets before going against their own league starting the 30th. Their next meet will be at Babylon this Thursday, September 17th.
