Girls Gymnastics Makes Counties

The girls gymnastics team lost their last meet against Kings Park 166.6 – 167.35.  The girls all stuck beam and nines were scored on floor by Allie Schuler (9.1), Emily Chong(9.35), and Melanie Gershman(9.3).  Despite the loss, the score was the highest for the girls all season, helping their average for counties.  The girls are tied for 4th seed going into counties this Tuesday.  Three girls also made individual counties, which will take place this Friday.  Allie Schuler made floor and vault, Emily Chong made floor, vault and beam, and Melanie Gershman made floor and beam.  Last year the team placed 6th at counties and they hope to place higher this year.
