West Takes Down East in the Annual Ray Enners Game
The Boys Varsity Lacrosse team once again faced off against district rival Hills East in the the annual “intra-district” Ray Enners Game. Coming off a tough loss to Ward Melville, the 9 and 5 Colts needed this win to maintain their established dominance in Division I. The Colts and T-Birds were neck and neck, tied at 4 going into halftime. Coming out of the intermission, freshman Cameron Mule, who had already added 3 points, scored a spectacular goal to start a huge Colts run. Hills East made a push but it was too little too late. West came out on top with a score of 11-6. Justin Cerniello scored 4 goals; each one coming in important moments. Ryan Ozvath, Riley Forte, and Mike McCarthy each added 2 points for the Colts. Overall the team was ecstatic to have another win over our district rival Hills East.
