Colts Continue To Rise
After a blowout win against the Harborfield Tornadoes of 58 to zero, the Hills West Colts advanced to a record of 4-0 going into homecoming against the Rocky Point Eagles. This team is led by senior quarterback and Syracuse commit Joe Filardi. Through the first four games, Filardi has rushed for 494 yards on 23 attempts and 7 touchdowns. In addition, Filardi has thrown for: 916 yards, 13 touchdowns, only 1 interception, as well as 38 completions on 48 attempts. Filardi is paired with two of the top senior wide receivers in the county: Anthony Raio and Jesse Brooks. Raio has: 15 receptions for 434 yards and 6 touchdowns. While Brooks has: 11 receptions for 307 yards and 5 touchdowns. Additionally, senior running back Christian Alfaro has rushed for: 276 yards on 32 attempts and 5 touchdowns. Other offensive contributors include: Mason Reisch and Jayden Smith. The offense has scored 199 points, while the defense has only allowed 36 points. Therefore, the Colts have outscored their opponents through the first 4 games of the season by 163 points. This is a result of big defensive play throughout the season. The team plays the Rocky Point Eagles on Thursday 10/09/2024, which is the homecoming game.
