Hills West to Enact New Cohort System

It has been one absurd school year, to say the least. We’ve experienced remote transitions, phase-ins, and even phase-outs. But most consistently, we’ve relied on the ever-erratic nature of the cohort system.

However, there has been a drastic upward trend in skepticism across both parental and student platforms. As a result, it has been announced — with confirmation from both the Hills West Administration and Half Hollow Hills Central School District Board of Education — that the cohort system will be returning and incorporating a concept known as “The Hogwarts Paradigm.”

The aforementioned strategy infuses a systematic process, which will formulate in the coming weeks, where we slowly alter back to the cohort system but will be infusing the four houses from “Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.” Therefore, each student will be assigned either Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin as their new cohort.

We are still not completely certain as to how each cohort (or house) will be re-entering nor what sequential order will be implemented, but we will continue to provide information for the time being. Please stay informed and stay safe Hills West.
