This Thursday our varsity tennis team went to Northport for a match. Despite a good effort, they fell short by one match at the end. Hills West doubles played well, winning all 3 matches. However, it was not enough and the remainder of the matches did not go as well for west. Northport won all 4 singles matches. In the first singles match, Bilal Rashizada (pictured) put up a great effort, winning the first set 7-5, and leading 5-4 in the second set before retiring because of injury. The remaining singles players all played with heart, even without getting the results they wanted. In doubles, the top match was quickly won by Mike Lombardi and Aidan Hamilton, 6-4, 6-1. In the second doubles match, Keshav and Aman Khanna won in straight sets as well, 7-6, 6-2. The last doubles match was a comeback win for west. After losing the first set, Ojas Metha and Arnav Pawar won the next two to take the match. Even without a favorable outcome, it  still was a fun match and great experience for the team.
