National Honor Society Toy Donation
On Thursday, December 11 the National Honor Society collected toys to donate to the Ryan Outreach Center in Wyandanch. The center serves impoverished families in Wyandanch by providing them with goods, education, employment opportunities, and recreational activities. The toys will be provided as gifts for the upcoming holiday season so each child will be able to experience Christmas towards the extent that others do and take for granted. About 100 new, unwrapped toys were collected and were donated on Friday. Brooke Camarda, a member of NHS says that “Although it may not seem like such big deal, it feels good knowing I helped make someone’s Christmas enjoyable.”
