Jennifer Lawrence: Triple Threat
The name Jennifer Lawrence has been weaving in and out of the mouths of eager teens over the past few weeks. There is so much more to the Hunger Games star than exceptional acting skills and relatable humor. Lawrence has been hiding an extraordinary talent, that has recently caught the ears and breath of everyone in theaters. Within Mockingjay: Part 1, the latest movie of the Hunger Games series, Lawrence showcases her singing skills. Raspy, and calming, Lawrence’s voice pierces the hearts of everyone watching her latest film. It is during a seemingly insignificant scene where Katniss Everdeen, played by Lawrence, sings the Hanging Tree, a chilling and twisted song mentioned in the Hunger Games trilogy. To many’s surprise the song has recently risen to the number three spot on iTunes. The song’s success has left many wondering if Lawrence will pursue a music career. Based on the song’s triumph, it would be of no surprise if she did. However, Lawrence has recently made an appearance on the David Letterman show, where she confesses one of her greatest fears, singing in public.
