Girls Varsity Tennis Defeats Smithtown East

On Monday, September 30, the girls varsity tennis team defeated Smithtown East with a score of 5 matches to 2. The girls have had a great season so far, and their success is continuing to show. Junior Nikaylah Williams played very well, winning her 2nd singles match in two sets, while only letting up three games. Third doubles, Lakshmi Barbereddy and Anjali Maheshwari played a very tough match, and pulled out victorious in the end. They won their match 4-6, 6-4, 7-6, showing extreme determination after giving up an early lead. All of the players are giving it their all as the team moves on with their success. The team has two more matches this week against Walt Whitman and Harborfields. However, their big match is next Tuesday, against Hills East, in a match that is sure to be close.
