Hills Girls Gymnastics Loses to Commack

This past Thursday the 15th, the girls gymnastics team competed home against a very skilled Commack team. The girls were expecting lots of talent from Commack, who came in second at counties last year. Before the meet started, Coach TK told the girls to goal for personal best scores in order to put up a high team score. The team put together a strong effort, but the dominance of Commack was felt in the loss. The final score was 162.125 to 180.05. Nines were scored during the meet by Nicole Jackson on beam and Emily Chong on floor. Throughout the meet, the girls showed they not only have a lot of talent, but a lot of room to improve.

The team has a short time to practice before their next meet on Monday the 19th at Connetquot. The team will continue to work hard in hopes of securing a spot in team counties. As the season comes to a close, please come support the gymnastics team for the senior meet against Ward Melville on Tuesday the 27th.
