Varsity Baseball Wins Three Games To Go To 5-0
The varsity baseball team won games on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday against Deer Park, Bellport, and Huntington, respectively. Deer Park was defeated 3-1 in a game where the Colts scored early and held their lead behind a 14 strikeout effort by Aaron Glickstein on the mound. Jon Faraci pitched 6 2/3 innings against Bellport on Wednesday, allowing one run. Tommy DiGiorgi homered in his first at bat, leading the offense en route to a 6-1 win. Tommy also homered against Huntington on Thursday, in a game that he also pitched. He struck out 13 in 5 innings, allowing only one hit to a weak Huntington team. The offense exploded in the 18-0 win. The team continues on with an unblemished record.
