Hills West Football Suffers Heartbreaking Loss to End the Season

The Hills West Colts suffered a heartbreaking loss in a 16-13 overtime loss against West Islip. The defenses dominated throughout the game as the score at halftime was 13-7 West Islip. The blocked extra point by Cam Jordan after West Islip’s second touchdown came back to help the Colts after they also missed the extra point after a touchdown run by Jeff Terry. At the end of the third quarter it was, Colts 13 and West Islip 13. After a couple of punts in the fourth quarter the score was still 13-13 heading into overtime*. West started with the ball at the West Islip 20. West went four and out and West Islip took over at the West 20. After an impressive defensive stance, West Islip lined up for the game winning field goal on fourth down. Everyone waited anxiously for the kick and hopefully for a block, but the kick was good and West was handed their second loss of the season. The final score, West Islip 16 and Hills West 13. That drops the Colts record to 4-2 which puts them in third place in division ll.
