David Wright Injured Amid Mets’ Hot Start

Just as things always seem like they were going to get good for the Mets, things found a way to take a turn for the worst. Right now, after the first 13 games of the season, the Mets are 10-3, and are on a three game winning streak.

After David Wright had the worst year of his career in 2014, he knew he had something to prove in 2015. He started off the year well, hitting .333, with a home run and four runs batted in before he injured his hamstring last week. He is on the 15-day Disabled List, but there is fear that he will be out for longer than that. Hopefully in Wright’s absence, Triple-A call up Eric Campbell can fill in, and still keep the Mets on their winning ways to start the season.
