Fantasy Football: Week 10 Projections
Many fantasy teams this week will have trouble filling the vacancies the bye week has made. The bye will be shutting down Luck, Brady, Rivers, Edelman, Gronk, Hilton, Allen, Gates, Morris, Bradshaw, and Foster, who have all been having amazing years fantasy-wise. The bye will also be taking away 3 great defenses in Houston, New England, and Indianapolis. For teams that have one or more of these players, expect a big dip in fantasy points this week.
Starts:
QB: B. Roethlisberger- In his past two games Roethlisberger has been on a hot streak, having 80 fantasy points and 12 touchdowns. He has a matchup with a jets defense that has allowed a 20 FPA to road QB’s this year.
RB: B. Rainey- Doug Martin remains questionable due to an injured ankle, so it is most likely Rainey is in for another big game. He will be facing a Falcons defense that has allowed a 32 FPA to RB’s this year.
WR: K. Benjamin- Benjamin has been one of the hottest rookies this year, and will continue to thrive against the Eagles. The Eagles have allowed a 27 FPA to WR’s this year, and have allowed 8 TD’s in their last 4 games.
TE: J. Witten- Witten has been doing decently in past weeks, but his game against the Jags will definitely boost his stats. The Jags have allowed a 9 FPA to TE’s this year, while also giving them 5 TD’s in total.
K: M. Crosby- The Bears have allowed a 10 FPA to kickers this far, and Crosby has posted 28 points in his last 3 games.
DEF: Packers- when playing Chicago, the Packers have a 10 FPA on defense. Cutler has also thrown 10 picks when playing them at Lambeau.
Start Of The Week: R. Wilson- Wilson has hit a rough patch in the past few weeks, but his matchup vs the Giants makes him favorable. The Giants have allowed a 18 FPA to home QB’s.
The Sits:
QB: R. Tannehill- Tannehill has been on a tear the last several games, scoring 18+ in 4 of his last 5 games. Fresh of the bye, the Lions defense are ready, allowing road QB’s a 13 FPA.
RB: R. Bush- Bush hasn’t been himself in recent weeks, and has been losing some carries to Bell and Riddick. The Dolphins have allowed a 14 FPA to RB’s this year.
WR: D. Baldwin- Though he has been getting more targets in the past few weeks, it hasn’t translated to the fantasy boards. He has scored 6 points or fewer in 7 of his 8 games.
TE: J. Cook- Cook hasn’t produced well against Arizona, having 50 or less yards in 2 of 3 games. Arizona has allowed a 6 FPA to TE’s this year.
K: M. Prater- Prater will be playing a defense that does well at stopping the kicking game, slowing a 6 FPA thus far.
DEF: Rams- The Cardinals have been red hot and hard to stop lately, thus making it hard for teams to get good fantasy points versus them.
Sit Of The Week: J. Cutler- Cutler doesn’t do well in Green Bay. In his 3 games in Green Bay, Cutler has had an average 190 yards, 2 TD’s, and a total of 10 interceptions.
