Colts Sweep Copiague in three-game series
In the three games over spring break, the varsity baseball team swept Copiague in a series of well-played games. The first game was a blowout, with the Colts winning 13-2 with RBIs made by DiGiorgi, Stampfl, Montalbano, Cabezon and Mcguire. Junior Sal Lovaglio pitched a complete game, allowing two runs and eight strikeouts. The second game showed a strong pitching performance by senior Dylan Mouzakes, also only giving up two runs in a 5-2 victory. Senior Matt Cabezon and sophomore Sean Noriega each contributed with RBIs. The third game of the series ended with a 6-2 victory, with the offense being led by Tom DiGiorgi, who went 3-3. This sweep certainly improves the Colts playoff hopes, and makes them a serious contender in the league.
