Hills West Boys Tennis Moves on to Semifinals of State Tournament

The boys tennis team got an invitation to play in the selective San Marco Invitational. In this tournament, only the top teams are invited to play, which is an accomplishment in its own right. The team began the tournement in a battle against Arlington, winning with a score of 6-3. Then, the team played Trinity and won with a score of 5-3-1. The team was lead by Zachary Mollo and Evan Nierman who won won a deciding match at second doubles with a score of 8-5. The team is looking foward for the semi finals later this month.

Evan Hochhauser has been in newspaper since freshman year. He started as a writer, writing articles in both the sports and school news sections. Currently, he is the Sports editor for the newspaper. As the Sports editor, Hochhauser is in charge of a staff responsible for all of Hills West sports, as well as professional sports events. Outside of newspaper, Hochhauser is or has been involved in Yearbook Club, DECA, Spanish Club, Speech and Debate, Varsity and Junior Varsity Tennis, and the research program.
