This Thursday the Hills West girls basketball team had a tough matchup against West Babylon. They played well but struggled in the first half of the game. The girls gave up the ball too easily on offense, having numerous turnovers from bad passes. Furthermore they had trouble finding good opportunities to shoot the ball. With these two issues holding them down, they were beaten by a score of 61-42. The team now has a losing record of 3-6. Fortunately their errors are fixable, with better passing usually coming with more experience as a team. With more cautious and guided passing they should also find more scoring opportunities, and hopefully the girls will turn their season around soon.
