The Girls Varsity Soccer Team endured one of their toughest losses on October 25th. Within the first 10-15 minutes of the semifinal playoff game against Islip Amanda Rooney was given a red card causing the team to play down a player the rest of the game. Although they played down, the intensity did not stop, it picked up. Everyone on the field played their heart out and it showed. Everyone played as a unit and never gave up. Islip was outplayed by the girls, but they got a lucky goal. Even though the girls lost 0-1, they were so grateful they all got to play on a team together and become a family. The seniors will all be missed so much and it will be hard to find someone to fill their spots, but everyone is looking forward to next season already. The girls are hoping to improve as a team and go all the way to the finals next year. Everyone is so thankful to have Coach Verderber and Coach Madden this year and can’t wait to continue to play for them next year.
