Caleb has began his acting career at 10 years old and started out as playing Young Simba in the Broadway adaptation of Disney’s The Lion King between 2012 and 2014. Additionally, he has portrayed Ricky Bell in the 2017 biographical miniseries, “The New Edition Story” which was nominated for and recieved the Outstanding Television Movie, Limited-Series or Dramatic Special. He is also known for his impeccable style at red carpet events and award ceremonies. The NAACP Image Awards is a ceremony honoring people of color and their outstanding work in film, television, music, and literature. In addition, the award show recognizes people who have advocated for social justice. Being nominated and recieving this honor, demonstrates Caleb’s exceptional acting ability as Lucas in Stranger Things as a young person of color. Fans of Caleb McLaughlin’s work are very impressed by what he has done so far and excited for what he will do in the future of his career. Congratulations to Caleb!
