Welcome to the halfway point of the fantasy football regular season. It has been an eventful 6 weeks off the field for the NFL, between the national anthem protests and the comments made by Bob McNair, owner of the Houston Texans, this past week, and so much other controversy. However, through it all, fantasy football has been running strong.

This week, I write from a Sunday morning, as opposed to my usual Thursday night slate. Because of this, I will list off some daily fantasy beasts at each position for Week 7, for all of the Fanduel and Draftkings fans out there.

Beasts

Joe Mixon – Mixon seems to be a hot topic on this column in 2017. The rookie running back is yet to have a big game, despite showing signs of promise. This could be the week where his promise turns into points, as the Bengals face the Colts today, home to one of the most abysmal rush defenses in the NFL. At 5,900 Fanduel dollars, Mixon could be a rewarding RB2 this week.

Carson Wentz – Despite being an MVP candidate through 6 weeks, Carson Wentz is only listed at 7,900 Fanduel dollars . It must be because the Eagles face a great defense this week, right? WRONG! The Eagles play the 49ers at home! This is the matchup of dreams for the red-hot QB. Carson Wentz is a stud this week.

Devin Funchess – The past few weeks have been a struggle for Funchess, as well as the Panthers offense as a whole. However, his workload has not decreased, as the third-year receiver has had at least 8 targets in his last 5 games. In a great matchup against the disappointing Bucs, at 6,500 Fanduel dollars, look for Funchess and the Panthers to get back on track.

Jordan Reed – This week, to my surprise, Reed wasn’t ranked in the top-5 amongst tight ends, despite breaking out for 8 catches, 64 yards and two touchdowns last week. This makes Reed an excellent value pick against a low-class Cowboys’ defense.

Bengals DST – Listed at only 4,800 Fanduel dollars, the Bengals DST is one of the true sleepers this week. So far, the Colts have been a gift to opposing DST owners. On top of this, the Bengals have had a solid fantasy defense in 2017, despite Cincinnati’s struggles as a team. Put the Bengals DST in your lineup this week.

I wish you the best of luck in Week 7 (unless you are Joseph Choi)!
