Hills West Soccer Gets Another Shutout Win

Coming into this game vs  Deer Park, the Colts were on a four game win streak with a 5-1-1 league record and a 6-2-1 record overall. Perhaps the most impressive statistic was that three of those wins were shoutouts, and a combined margin of victory of 13-1. Leading the team is Leo Mussacchia who’s had over five goals and five assists on the season.

Not looking to lose momentum, the Colts came out firing bombarding the goalie with attempt after attempt. They had a percentage of shots on goal, but Deer Park goalie, Peter Khazar, had eleven saves on the game. However, the Hills West defense remained strong throughout, and as a result there was 0-0 score after regulation. Overtime didn’t last long as Jordan Landow scored the game winning goal after receiving a 50 yard pass from who else: Leo. He was able to take a beautiful first touch and finish in the back post for the 1-0 victory.

This is the fifth straight win and fourth straight shoutout. Hills West’s next game is against West Babylon on October 3rd
