West’s Boys Soccer Rolls Onto the Next Round

The 11th ranked Hills West soccer team battled Commack, the #6 seed in the first round of the Suffolk AA playoffs. The game was a battle back and forth, yet the score remained tied 0-0 when time ran out. It was during the golden goal overtime when John Behr lifted the Colts over Commack with the game winner from 10 feet out. Freshman Will Goldbaum said, “The whole team was excited. When John Behr, our captain, put in the game winner the feeling was insane, we beat the defending champs on their home turf, nothing gets better than that.” The Colts look to keep this momentum rolling as they go up against some more difficult teams deeper in their playoff run.
