Boys Fencing wins away at Huntington

Although the meet was sloppy, the boys fencing team was able to pick up the win in Huntington, 17-10.  Hills West junior Edward Bae carried his weight on epee going 3-0. All together the saber squad went 5-4, foil went 7-2, and Epee went 4-5. Our next upcoming meet will be our last home meet against Newfield and hopefully we can sub in some new players from our Junior Varsity team to fence in the second or third round. During the third round, the Boys team brought a new face to the varsity strip, Dragon Peng. Dragon started out this year as an epee fencer, and nearly won his first bout on the varsity strip, although losing 5-4 he still showed clear talent on the strip.
