It was just two weeks ago that the third Hunger Games movie, based on the first half of the trilogy’s final book, Mockingjay, premiered in theaters. The movie has received both praise and criticism. Many enjoyed the film’s action-filled storyline, however, others claimed it strayed much too far from the book. Mockingjay: Part 1 begins with Katniss Everdeen, the trilogy’s main protagonist, present in District 13, an area of the country Panem believed to have been destroyed. The film incites great emotion, ranging from excitement to extreme sadness. Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss, and Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta Mellark, do an award-worthy job in their latest film. Hutcherson stayed true to his character throughout the film, and was extremely prudent in arousing emotions throughout the audience. The film ends in an intense scene, however one must go to watch the film themselves to find out. If you have not seen the film, it is highly suggested that you do so. Mockingjay: Part 1, was both exhilarating and heart wrenching.
